Common warts on your hands, face and body treated by a registered nurse in a 30-minute session for £150. Free consultation, no packages, no pressure.
Please note: we treat warts on the hands, face and body. We don't treat verrucas on the feet.
Treatment at City Aesthetics Clinic, 5 Saville Place, Newcastle NE1 8DQ.
Warts are small, rough, raised growths on the skin, caused by a common virus (HPV). They're harmless, but they can spread to other parts of your body or to other people through close contact. Many clear up by themselves eventually, but that can take months or years.
People often want them removed because they:
What we treat: common warts and flat or thread-like warts on the hands, fingers, face and body. We also treat genital warts, discreetly and in private. Just mention it when you book, or at your consultation. We'd also recommend a check-up at a sexual health clinic.
What we don't treat: verrucas (warts on the soles of the feet). For verrucas, a podiatrist can help.
We use advanced electrolysis: the tip of a very fine needle, about the size of an eyelash, is placed into the wart and releases a tiny energy current. This dries up and destroys the wart, which then disappears. Treatment takes place at City Aesthetics Clinic in Newcastle city centre.
What it feels like: most people find it very tolerable. Some people find it uncomfortable, and fingertips and the face can be more sensitive than other areas.
Aftercare: keep the area clean and dry, and don't pick at it. Your nurse will explain everything before you leave. There's no downtime, so you can carry on with your usual day straight after.
You pay for a 30-minute session with a registered nurse, not per wart, so several warts can be treated for one price.
| What's included | Price |
|---|---|
| 30-minute session: free consultation plus as many warts as time allows | £150 |
| Top-up within 8 weeks, if any warts need it | Free |
The price stays the same however many warts are treated in the session. Everything is fully explained at your consultation, so you understand the cost and there are no surprises. No packages to buy upfront.
You'll always be treated by one of two registered nurses, Emma or Jane, both trained in advanced electrolysis.

Usually not. Warts are harmless and often clear by themselves, so the NHS rarely removes them. Private treatment is the usual option if they bother you.
No. We treat warts on the hands, face and body only. For verrucas on the feet, a podiatrist is the best person to see.
Most people find it very tolerable. Some people find it uncomfortable, and fingertips and the face can be more sensitive.
The area may scab while it heals. As with any skin treatment, there is a small risk of scarring that can't be ruled out. Your nurse will explain what you can expect at your consultation.
It depends on the size and number of warts. Your nurse will tell you at your consultation whether they can be treated in one session. If any need a top-up, it's free within 8 weeks.
Everyone is different, so we can't promise they won't come back. Treated warts can return, and because warts are caused by a virus, new ones can appear. Your nurse will talk you through what to expect.
Yes. Advanced electrolysis is carried out by a registered nurse, who can treat each wart precisely. It can be much safer and more effective to be treated by a professional.
No. We only treat people aged 18 and over, for all treatments.
